Victor LaValle (Συγγραφέας)

Ο Βίκτορ Λαβάλ (Victor LaValle) γεννήθηκε το 1972 και μεγάλωσε στη Νέα Υόρκη, όπου διαμένει σήμερα με την οικογένειά του. Διδάσκει Δημιουργική Γραφή στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κολούμπια. Είναι συγγραφέας της συλλογής διηγημάτων Slapboxing with Jesus, τεσσάρων μυθιστορημάτων (The Ecstatic, Big Machine, The Devil in Silver και the Changeling) καθώς και δύο νουβελών, των Lucretia & the Kroons και Η Μπαλάντα του Μαύρου Τομ. Στο ενεργητικό του έχει ακόμη δύο γραφιστικές νουβέλες. Το έργο του έχει διακριθεί επανειλημμένως και του έχουν απονεμηθεί σημαντικά βραβεία, όπως τα: World Fantasy, British Fantasy, Bram Stoker, Shirley Jackson, American Book κ.ά.
