Ο Ζοέλ Ντικέρ γεννήθηκε στη Γενεύη το 1985. Σπούδασε θέατρο στο Παρίσι και δίκαιο στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Γενεύης, όπου ολοκλήρωσε το μεταπτυχιακό του το 2010.
